B Corporation Certification
Certified B Corporations are companies who meet high standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
Certifying as a B Corporation goes beyond product or service-level certification.
B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how your company’s operations and business model impact your workers, community, environment, and customers. From your supply chain and input materials to your charitable giving and employee benefits, B Corp Certification proves your business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance.
Positive impact is supported by transparency and accountability requirements. B Corp Certification doesn’t just prove where your company excels now—it commits you to consider stakeholder impact for the long term by building it into your company’s legal structure.

Evolving B Corp Standards
B Lab’s standards are at the heart of the B Corp movement. They define the social, environmental, and governance best practices for businesses that drive our vision of an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative global economy that benefits all people and the planet.
In December 2020, B Lab announced a review of the standards for the B Corp Certification. The aim was to understand whether more specific and mandatory performance requirements on key topics could ensure that B Corp Certification continues to effectively differentiate leading businesses and help all companies improve their impact.
The new standards will evolve what it means to be a B Corp by:
-
Focusing on the most important social and environmental issues facing people and the planet
-
Giving organizations clarity to focus on what matters and galvanize the most impactful actions
-
Aligning with existing standards and emerging regulations making B Corp more relevant than ever before
-
Ensuring it will be clearer than ever as to what it takes and means to be a B Corp leader
Following last year's consultation with stakeholders on the first draft of the new standards for B Corp Certification we can now share our Preliminary Consultation Summary Report, which collates and summarizes this feedback, and identifies ways to address it in the next draft.
